Product Details

Our luxuriously soft blankets are available in two different sizes and feature incredible artwork on the top surface. The bottom surface is white. Our 100% polyester blankets are available in two different styles: plush fleece and sherpa fleece. Plush fleece blankets are soft and fluffy on both sides, whereas sherpa blankets are smooth like a soft sweater on the artwork side (i.e. shorter threads) which provides for a sharper image. Looking for a recommendation? Go with a 60" x 80" plush fleece blanket. It's soft and luxurious on both sides... the artwork looks incredible... and the size is just right for everyone.

Artist's Description

This image was captured in late July 2014 in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. Our Canadian Armed Forces Snowbirds were in town to display their incredible flying skills. The team is officially known as the 431 Air Demonstration Squadron, flying CT-114 Tutors based out of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. The Snowbirds are Canada's military aerobatics or air show flight demonstration team whose purpose is to "demonstrate the skill, professionalism, and teamwork of Canadian Forces personnel". They have 80 full time personnel with 24 of those travelling to demonstrations. The Snowbirds continue the flying demonstration tradition of previous Canadian Royal Air Force aerobatic teams, which include the Siskins, the Blue Devils, the Golden Hawks, and the Golden Centennaires. At the show, nine aircraft combine to perform aerobatics and manoeuvers in frighteningly close proximity to one another. The Snowbirds were the first aerobatic team in the world to use music in their show, and music is of...

About Allan Van Gasbeck

Allan Van Gasbeck

I was born and raised in New England and met my Canadian wife of nearly 50 years now while traveling in Europe in '73. I have mostly lived in Canada since. I have been interested in photography since 1970 and had taken multitudes of pictures in the "film" age. After a time away from photography, I jumped in again in the early years of the "digital" age. I graduated from the New York Institute of Photography in 2007. Since, I spent a couple of years as a part time professional photographer, though I am moving away from working to return to my roots in outdoor photography as a life interest. I enjoy taking landscape, moving water, and nature images - and any other passing fancy moment that deserves to last. I love quiet wild spaces...
