Description
This long exposure photograph was captured in September 2020 in Yoho National Park at the Natural Bridge area along the Kicking Horse River. The river was named in 1858, when James Hector, a member of the Palliser Expedition, reported being kicked by his packhorse while exploring the river. Hector named the river and the associated pass as a result of the incident. The view is of the river cascading over the precipice, just as prior to passing under the Natural Bridge. Mount Stephen to the left and Mount Dennis to the right stand in the background.
