Artist's Description
This image was captured in late July 2014 in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. Our Canadian Armed Forces Snowbirds were in town to display their incredible flying skills. The team is officially known as the 431 Air Demonstration Squadron, flying CT-114 Tutors based out of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. About Allan Van Gasbeck
I was born and raised in New England and met my Canadian wife of nearly 50 years now while traveling in Europe in '73. I have mostly lived in Canada since. I graduated from the New York Institute of Photography in 2007. Since, I spent a couple of years as a part time professional photographer, though I am moving away from working to return to my roots in outdoor photography as a life interest. I enjoy taking landscape, moving water, and nature images - and any other passing fancy moment that deserves to last. I love quiet wild spaces...

Outstanding shot! Love the blue background and the blur in the tail and wings with the sharpness of the nose and cockpit, conveying a sense of motion...as if the plane is emerging from a cloud portal! This would have been an amazing show to witness, no doubt :) l/f
