Georgia Strait Panorama Toddler T-Shirt

This image was captured in mid-January from Whiffen Spit in Sooke, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada not far from Victoria. The Spit is a favorite spot for locals and visitors who take their daily walks on this nearly three kilometre round trip walk, often with their dogs. The view is across Georgia Strait to Washington State and the Olympic Peninsula. The unique cloud formations are clinging to the coastal Olympic Mountains.

I was born and raised in New England and met my Canadian wife of nearly 50 years now while traveling in Europe in '73. I have mostly lived in Canada since. I have been interested in photography since 1970 and had taken multitudes of pictures in the "film" age. After a time away from photography, I jumped in again in the early years of the "digital" age. I graduated from the New York Institute of Photography in 2007. Since, I spent a couple of years as a part time professional photographer, though I am moving away from working to return to my roots in outdoor photography as a life interest. I enjoy taking landscape, moving water, and nature images - and any other passing fancy moment that deserves to last. I love quiet wild spaces...
