This black and white image was captured in Pacific Rim National Park in April of 2014. This beach is called South Beach, which is just beyond Wickaninnish Beach, which is just beyond Long Beach. It is also known as the beach of singing stones as the wave action pulls the stones back across themselves they make many sounds of varying depth and volume. It is a dangerous beach especially at high tide. There is always some great wave watching available here.

I was born and raised in New England and met my Canadian wife of nearly 50 years now while traveling in Europe in '73. I have mostly lived in Canada since. I have been interested in photography since 1970 and had taken multitudes of pictures in the "film" age. After a time away from photography, I jumped in again in the early years of the "digital" age. I graduated from the New York Institute of Photography in 2007. Since, I spent a couple of years as a part time professional photographer, though I am moving away from working to return to my roots in outdoor photography as a life interest. I enjoy taking landscape, moving water, and nature images - and any other passing fancy moment that deserves to last. I love quiet wild spaces...
