This image was captured in late November 2022 at Lost Lagoon in Stanley Park in the city of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Colorful and intricate, these people shy wood ducks are nearly always on the move, especially if you are tracking them. Surrounded on three sides by ocean, Stanley Park is about a thousand acres, much of it undeveloped, and home to numerous bird and animal species.
