Love the beautiful reflection!

Artist's Description

This black and white panorama photograph was captured on Comber's Beach near the in Pacific Rim National Park on a crystal blue morning in April 2022. This beautiful park is located on the wild west coast of Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. The beach and trails extend for miles. A peak low tide creates a walkable tidal flat as far as the eye can see, creating a mirror like reflection everywhere one turns. The beach is littered with leftovers from the retreating tide.

About Allan Van Gasbeck

Allan Van Gasbeck

I was born and raised in New England and met my Canadian wife of nearly 50 years now while traveling in Europe in '73. I have mostly lived in Canada since. I have been interested in photography since 1970 and had taken multitudes of pictures in the "film" age. After a time away from photography, I jumped in again in the early years of the "digital" age. I graduated from the New York Institute of Photography in 2007. Since, I spent a couple of years as a part time professional photographer, though I am moving away from working to return to my roots in outdoor photography as a life interest. I enjoy taking landscape, moving water, and nature images - and any other passing fancy moment that deserves to last. I love quiet wild spaces...
