Description
This is a Venice Italy photograph of a sunset and sun rays behind Isola San Giorgio Maggiore across the water from San Marco and near the mouth of the Grand Canal. The image was captured in January of 2016. San Giorgio Maggiore was a former monastery established in 982. In the early 19th century, the island became a port and harbor.
