Our spiral notebooks are 6" x 8" in size and include 120 pages which are lined on both sides. The artwork is printed on the front cover which is made of thick paper stock, and the back cover is medium gray in color. The inside of the back cover includes a pocket for storing extra paper and pens.

This image was captured in Grasslands National Park, Saskatchewan in late September 2017. Frequent wildfires are fine for the grasses which regenerate rather quickly, however, finding a live tree is a challenge in the grasslands. The foreground shows a slight rise and an increased presence of vegetation on the banks of the Frenchman River which meanders through the park and is often seen on hikes and forays into the grasslands. The lighting and perspective brings out the vibrant autumn changes in the sparse vegetation, which is as good as it gets in Grasslands National Park.

I was born and raised in New England and met my Canadian wife of nearly 50 years now while traveling in Europe in '73. I have mostly lived in Canada since. I have been interested in photography since 1970 and had taken multitudes of pictures in the "film" age. After a time away from photography, I jumped in again in the early years of the "digital" age. I graduated from the New York Institute of Photography in 2007. Since, I spent a couple of years as a part time professional photographer, though I am moving away from working to return to my roots in outdoor photography as a life interest. I enjoy taking landscape, moving water, and nature images - and any other passing fancy moment that deserves to last. I love quiet wild spaces...
