Artist's Description

This image was captured near Hebron, Connecticut in May 2017 along Raymond Brook. This is the very top of Grayville Falls just after the slip over the edge. Early spring leaves on a recently downed tree wiggle in the foreground in the breeze created by the rushes. This is a long exposure frame of several seconds.

About Allan Van Gasbeck

Allan Van Gasbeck

I was born and raised in New England and met my Canadian wife of nearly 50 years now while traveling in Europe in '73. I have mostly lived in Canada since. I have been interested in photography since 1970 and had taken multitudes of pictures in the "film" age. After a time away from photography, I jumped in again in the early years of the "digital" age. I graduated from the New York Institute of Photography in 2007. Since, I spent a couple of years as a part time professional photographer, though I am moving away from working to return to my roots in outdoor photography as a life interest. I enjoy taking landscape, moving water, and nature images - and any other passing fancy moment that deserves to last. I love quiet wild spaces...
