This image was captured in November 2018 in West Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada showing the sunlight filtering through autumn leaves. The location is the Gellatly Nut Farm, a 4 hectare working nut farm with over 800 trees of many varieties including walnut, chestnut, hazelnut and many others. Autumn color was accentuated here using filters to brighten the leaves.

I have been interested in photography since 1970 and had taken multitudes of pictures in the "film" age. After a time away from photography, I jumped in again in the early years of the "digital" age. I graduated from the New York Institute of Photography in 2007. Since, I spent a couple of years as a part time professional photographer, though I am moving away from working to return to my roots in outdoor photography as a life interest. I enjoy taking landscape, moving water, and nature images - and any other passing fancy moment that deserves to last. I love quiet wild spaces...
