Description
This image was captured in late December 2019 at the Zabriskie Point area just east of the actual Death Valley in the National Park in early morning sun. Zabriskie Point refers to the surrounding area as well as the prominent feature. The creases and folds which are well defined by the shadows and light were created over millions of years through erosion and the redepositing of the sediments into these formations which at one time were at the bottom of a lake.
