This image was captured on Long Beach near Green Point in Pacific Rim National Park on a hazy misty morning in April 2018. Although the tide was still going out, a large surge of sea water came through this gap unexpectedly nearly soaking me. This beautiful park is located on the wild west coast of Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. The beach and trails extend for miles.

I was born and raised in New England and met my Canadian wife of nearly 50 years now while traveling in Europe in '73. I have mostly lived in Canada since. I have been interested in photography since 1970 and had taken multitudes of pictures in the "film" age. After a time away from photography, I jumped in again in the early years of the "digital" age. I graduated from the New York Institute of Photography in 2007. Since, I spent a couple of years as a part time professional photographer, though I am moving away from working to return to my roots in outdoor photography as a life interest. I enjoy taking landscape, moving water, and nature images - and any other passing fancy moment that deserves to last. I love quiet wild spaces...

Ooooooo, this work is stunning Allan. It has fluidity of movement, beautiful colors, textures and the perfect triangle zig zag to draw our eyes back to where ocean is rushing from and then towards us. Sure would feel great with all of the heat and humidity we have had. Again, another art piece that is wonderfully captured.
