Product Details

Our luxuriously soft beach towels are made from brushed microfiber with a 100% cotton back for extra absorption.   The top of the towel has the image printed on it, and the back is white cotton.   Our beach towels are available in two different sizes: beach towel (32" x 64") and beach sheet (37" x 74").

Don't let the fancy name confuse you... a beach sheet is just a large beach towel.

Artist's Description

There's fire. Wildfires have been burning in British Columbia since early June. On nearly a daily basis, there is smoke in the atmosphere making it difficult for many to breathe. This image was captured in August 2017 on the eastern shore of Lake Okanagan near Okanagan Centre at Kopje Regional Park. The view is to the south towards Kelowna and shows the smoke lying in the valley. The pilings are remnants from an old ferry dock which before vehicles was the main transportation in the valley.

About Allan Van Gasbeck

Allan Van Gasbeck

I was born and raised in New England and met my Canadian wife of nearly 50 years now while traveling in Europe in '73. I have mostly lived in Canada since. I have been interested in photography since 1970 and had taken multitudes of pictures in the "film" age. After a time away from photography, I jumped in again in the early years of the "digital" age. I graduated from the New York Institute of Photography in 2007. Since, I spent a couple of years as a part time professional photographer, though I am moving away from working to return to my roots in outdoor photography as a life interest. I enjoy taking landscape, moving water, and nature images - and any other passing fancy moment that deserves to last. I love quiet wild spaces...
